First Doctor's Appointment

Today we had our first doctors appointment at Dylan's pediatrician. We were all very excited because it was the first time since leaving the hospital that we would be going out on the town. Both Jessica and I were ecstatic to actually put Dylan in some clothes other than a random onsie here or there.



As you can see from the picture, Dylan is a lot more content being at the doctor than Brian is. It appears that Brian may be a little sleep deprived combined with the always mentally draining insurance paperwork. You can also see the layout of the doctors office a little bit from this picture. It is a very nice doctor office; they have plenty of toys to play with, everyone is extremely nice and knowledgeable, and they make the whole experience that much easier.

Dr. P checked Dylan out and said that he is a healthy boy. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 14 oz., which is extremely good because new babies generally lose weight after birth and the doctors give them two weeks to gain it back, so he has already met his two week goal. She also said that he is a little Jaundice, but it is not too bad. We took him over to the lab to get a test done and they think that it no big deal and it should go a way shortly.
