Regis & Kelly Here I come
Regis and Kelly are having a Beautiful Baby Search and the prize is $125,000 for college scholarships. Five finalists will be chosen and get to go on the Regis and Kelly show. Each of the four finalists which don't win will also get $25,000 for college scholarships. We are crossing our fingers that our beautiful boy will win something. Here a few of the pictures we had to choose from.

Battle Scars
Dylan has grown so much in the last month it is just amazing. He has started to crawl everywhere, now he is pulling up on everything. He just hasn't quite grasped how to get himself down, as you can see by the battle scars (actually just bruises below). The teachers at school say that he is at the table as soon as the food comes out, and he just hasn't figured out how big his head actually is.
Dylan has had this terrible cough for the past 2 months, so the Dr. decided we should do a reflux test. It ends up that Dylan does have reflux, we are treating it with medicine right now. This definitely could be the cause of his cough, he constantly has fluid in his esophagus after he eats and the cough is just his little bodies' way of trying to get that stuff up. We are hoping that the medicine will ease any discomfort he has. His cough seems to be getting slightly better but I think that time will truly tell.
Dylan is starting to eat absolutely everything. He has had goldfish, yogurt, beans, Alfredo pizza and many other things. The menu at school is truly great, they serve so many different styles of food so he will get to experience many things. Here are some pictures of his battle scars and him with the dogs.
Look at both of his temples, they are definitely getting in the way of where he wants to go.

Dylan Learns To Drive
Well I guess not completely driving yet, but as George Costanza so eloquently put it, "Well, I'm good at driving my car in reverse." There is also a little interaction with Dylan and his brother and sister, who if you watch closely towards the end of the video is being her typical Lilly self and tongue loving one of Dylan's cups.
And on a more serious note, Dylan is getting another tooth in the top of his mouth, that puts the grand total at 5 and counting.
We do not have any good video yet, but Dylan has begun to pull himself up onto the couch's and can sit on his knees for some time, quite exciting. More to come.

Almost Nine Month Update
I know it has been a really long time since we last updated the blog for everyone and we are so sorry. Needless to say much has happened since our Halloween update, so much so that I probably won't be able to recall everything in one sitting.
Dylan had to have tubes put in his ears about a month or so ago, he was having so many ear infections we finally just bit the bullet and had it done. It has helped drastically, he has had only two infections since then and they drain and go away fairly quickly. As far as other health related issues, nothing major just your run of the mill colds from the lovely Texas weather. He is currently going through a really good one now that has him upset and cranky, but what are you going to do.
As far as progress, the major thing is that he now crawling. He has been trying for several weeks now. He started off learning to flip from front to back, within a week or two he had learned to sit up from laying down, and on Thursday I was out washing the cars and Jessica came running out and said that he was doing it. Sure enough, he's not even messing a round. He sees where he wants to go and he's off. As you can imagine Samson and Lilly are thrilled, because not only is he after them now, he has found the long lost treasure trove of dog toy's. It is actually really neat because we thought he would do some sort of funny crawl but he is doing it the regular way. I have some video I will put up later.
The holidays have been great, both Jessica and I took off two weeks so we could have time to both travel to see family and relax at the house. As you can imagine Dylan pretty much cleaned up this Christmas with toys and clothes. He has so much to play with he doesn't know what to do with it all.
I think that should so it for now hope you enjoy the pictures and videos. Hope every one's holiday's were great.

Halloween
Dylan had a great first Halloween. We went down to our neighbors house and hung out on the driveway and handed out candy for the little kids there until it was time for Dylan to have dinner. He went to school on Friday in his pumpkin outfit and then was a monkey in the evening, which I guess are both pretty popular for the little ones. Here are some pictures we took of him, hope you enjoy. Also I have not forgotten about the videos, they will be coming soon.
