Almost Nine Month Update

I know it has been a really long time since we last updated the blog for everyone and we are so sorry. Needless to say much has happened since our Halloween update, so much so that I probably won't be able to recall everything in one sitting.

Dylan had to have tubes put in his ears about a month or so ago, he was having so many ear infections we finally just bit the bullet and had it done. It has helped drastically, he has had only two infections since then and they drain and go away fairly quickly. As far as other health related issues, nothing major just your run of the mill colds from the lovely Texas weather. He is currently going through a really good one now that has him upset and cranky, but what are you going to do.

As far as progress, the major thing is that he now crawling. He has been trying for several weeks now. He started off learning to flip from front to back, within a week or two he had learned to sit up from laying down, and on Thursday I was out washing the cars and Jessica came running out and said that he was doing it. Sure enough, he's not even messing a round. He sees where he wants to go and he's off. As you can imagine Samson and Lilly are thrilled, because not only is he after them now, he has found the long lost treasure trove of dog toy's. It is actually really neat because we thought he would do some sort of funny crawl but he is doing it the regular way. I have some video I will put up later.

The holidays have been great, both Jessica and I took off two weeks so we could have time to both travel to see family and relax at the house. As you can imagine Dylan pretty much cleaned up this Christmas with toys and clothes. He has so much to play with he doesn't know what to do with it all.

I think that should so it for now hope you enjoy the pictures and videos. Hope every one's holiday's were great.

Halloween

Dylan had a great first Halloween. We went down to our neighbors house and hung out on the driveway and handed out candy for the little kids there until it was time for Dylan to have dinner. He went to school on Friday in his pumpkin outfit and then was a monkey in the evening, which I guess are both pretty popular for the little ones. Here are some pictures we took of him, hope you enjoy. Also I have not forgotten about the videos, they will be coming soon.

Six Month Update

Sorry it has been so long since we last updated the blog for everyone. It has been extremely busy, both at work and with the family. Needless to say a lot has happened in the past few months. Dylan went to his six month check up yesterday and everything is coming along nicely. He weighed in at 16 lbs. 13 oz. He is a little on the small side weight wise, but not if you just look at the fat rolls he's accumulating.

As far as his other progress, it's been amazing. He can completely sit up now, with no problems. He has learned to roll from his back to his stomach, but not the other way yet. He is starting to scoot backwards a little while on his belly, but he mainly just turns in circles. The most amazing this is that he has gotten his first two bottom teeth. We figured he has been teething for a while because of all the drool, but he has not been fussy once, so we were really surprised this past weekend when we noticed them. Jessica noticed first, if you know what I mean.

Dylan is loving his daycare and all the friends he is making. Everyone thinks he is the cutest baby there, and of course we don't argue with them. He is also looking forward to Halloween. We are keeping his costume a surprise but I will put up pictures as soon as we have them.

The weather here has been greatly lately. Jessica, Dylan and I all did some body painting this weekend in the backyard. Dylan did most of it, while we just tried keeping from being to messy.

Here are a few pictures from the past couple of months. I will have some video up shortly.

Dylan Eating

Here is a great video of Dylan eating his dinner. He has actually taken really well to food. We started him off with rice cereal and soon found that he did not like it too much. We then tried him with oatmeal cereal which he loves. He currently gets 2 table spoons in the morning and 2 at night. We have also introduced sweet potatoes, peas and carrots. He loves them all. I think we are doing green beans next, but am not sure. Hope ya'll enjoy.

Some Videos

These are a few photos from his daycare, they came out great.

Four Months and Growing

I know I have been a horrible person and haven't updated the blog in a long time. We have been extremely busy the past couple of weeks. Dylan started daycare, Jessica went back to work and I got busy with some of my homes. I will try to recount everything we have been through, but its hard to remember yesterday, you know.

Dylan has had an adventurous couple of weeks. Shortly after he started daycare he got a pretty nasty cold. He was really congested and we actually took him to the ER on a Sunday morning because he could barely breath. Luckily it was all in his throat and not in his chest. He then proceeded to get pink eye, and not a week later he picked up another cold, and we still dealing with that one right now. He has been exceptionally happy considering how he must feel, but because of all the sicknesses he's had he went through almost two weeks where he was not eating very much. We were very worried because he went from eating like 25 to 30 oz a day to like 10 to 15. The Dr. said to just keep an eye on him and they tend to eat less when they feel bad. This past week he has finally gotten his appetite back, so we are very happy. We are not sure how much he weighs right now, because our scale is a little finicky, but he's somewhere around 15 lbs.

Not much else to report at this time. We have his four month check-up on Tuesday so we will let ya'll know the weight on all the other fun stuff. I will post a bunch of pictures and some videos.

Dylan also made his first trip to Dallas last weekend. He had a blast playing with grandma and grandpa, and he loved the pool. We have great video.
